Malabo, Equatorial Guinea
Theme: “Financing And Facilitating The Movement Of People, Goods And Services Across Africa“
On Sunday, July 13 2025, Malabo will host a high-level gathering of Heads of State, AU Commissioners, Ministers, CEOs, and top business leaders at the Malabo Leadership Breakfast Meeting — a catalytic event on the sidelines of the African Union’s 7th Mid-Year Coordination Meeting. Convened by the Africa Prosperity Network (APN), in partnership with the Government of Equatorial Guinea and the AfCFTA Secretariat, the event will spotlight urgent policy reforms and financing strategies to advance the free movement of people, goods, and services across Africa.
With the Single African Air Transport Market (SAATM), visa liberalisation, and cross-border transport infrastructure at the heart of the agenda, this is where Africa’s decision-makers come to shape the future of continental integration.
Every year, the African Union holds its Mid-Year Coordination Meeting. This closed-door summit convenes the leadership of the African Union, Heads of State, and the heads of Africa’s Regional Economic Communities (RECs). These high-level deliberations are pivotal to the continent’s future, yet they remain largely inaccessible to the private sector and other key stakeholders.
The Malabo Leadership Breakfast Meeting, organised by the Africa Prosperity Network (APN) in collaboration with the Government of Equatorial Guinea and the AfCFTA Secretariat, is strategically positioned to offer a rare and exclusive platform where Africa’s foremost business, institutional and thought leaders engage directly with the policymakers shaping the continent’s integration agenda.
From launching bold proposals like the $1-a-day Integrated Africa Infrastructure Growth Fund to positioning Equatorial Guinea as a dynamic commercial hub, the Malabo Leadership Breakfast Meeting is where ideas gain traction and alliances are born. Expect high-impact dialogue, strategic networking, and tangible outcomes that will help shape Africa’s trade corridors, aviation future, and unified market.
